RammyMen currently runs activities (for adults and youths, both sexes) at premises in Stubbins, Ramsbottom, with service users coming from Bury, North Manchester and Rossendale Areas.
The activities are designed to provide company for people experiencing isolation and loneliness, anxiety, depression etc, and to those who would benefit from buddying and peer-support.
In addition, we are working to help create a coherent community, so a substantial number of our attendees experience none of the above issues.
For those needing help, we have some professional counsellors, but the majority of our work is informal, activity-based chatting and shared lived-experience support.
We currently run 9 x 2 hour and 5 x 1 hour public drop-in sessions sessions along with other groups for existing service users into which new referrals will be directed as appropriate.
We do work with a number of service users experiencing more serious mental health issues, but may need some advice and support if this is the case for your referral.
